Dorset Theatre Festival is located at 104 Cheney Road, just off of Route 30 in Dorset, VT. We recommend using the Cheney Road entrance on Church Street, not Meadow Lane, to access the theatre.

The Playhouse is located 10 minutes away from Manchester, VT, and a hop, skip and a jump away from Saratoga County, NY, and all it has to offer. Not far from the hustle and bustle of the top cities in the region, Dorset Theatre Festival is approximately 3 hours from Boston, 4 hours from NYC, and 3 hours from Montreal, making it the perfect destination for your summer get-away!

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS BY CAR:

FROM NEW YORK CITY AND SOUTH:

Take the Taconic Parkway North to NY Route 295; turn right on 295 East for 10 miles, then left onto Route 22 North for a good hour until it intersects NY Route 7 in Hoosick. Turn Right on NY Route 7 East towards Bennington. A few miles later, bear left onto Route 279 to VT Route 7 North (to Manchester/Rutland). Take Route 7 North to Exit 4 for Manchester Center (not the exit for Manchester Village, which precedes it). Turn Left off the ramp onto VT Route 30, and continue on Route 30 to the rotary in the center of Manchester. Bear Right and then almost immediately turn Left at the second smaller rotary, staying on Route 30 North towards Dorset. Shortly after passing the Dorset Post Office on your left, turn Left onto Church Street, pass through the village and take the next Left onto Cheney Road, where you will find the Dorset Playhouse.

FROM ALBANY AND WEST (OR NEW YORK CITY VIA NY THRUWAY):

Go North from Albany to Troy, NY and get on NY Route 7 East towards Bennington, and then follow the latter part of the directions above.

FROM BOSTON, HARTFORD AND EAST:

Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 2 in Brattleboro, VT. (If coming from Boston, first take Interstate 90 [Massachusetts Turnpike] West to exit 4 in Springfield, MA to Interstate 91 North.) Upon exiting Interstate 91, turn Right off the ramp on VT Route 9 towards Wilmington/Bennington. Stay on Route 9 East for about a half hour to Wilmington, VT, and continue on Route 9 East for almost another half hour until it intersects with VT Route 295 at a traffic light. Turn Right onto VT Route 295; bear right at the fork onto Route 7 North towards Manchester/Rutland. Take Exit 4 for Manchester Center (not the exit for Manchester Village, which precedes it). Turn Left off the ramp onto VT Route 30, and continue on Route 30 to the T intersection in the center of Manchester. Turn right and then almost immediately turn left, staying on Route 30 North towards Dorset. Shortly after passing the Dorset Post Office on your left, turn Left onto Church Street, pass through the village and take the next Left onto Cheney Road, where you will find the Dorset Playhouse.
