All Dorset Theatre Festival Mainstage Productions have reserved seating. Your seating assignment is subject to availability and determined when placing your ticket order. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
For select Dorset Theatre Festival Special Events, seating is general admission and seat selection is on a first-come first-served basis. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
Unclaimed Comp Tickets/Seats:
Due to our limited seating capacity, any unclaimed comp tickets are subject to release in the event of a sold out performance. Ticket-holders are guaranteed admission until five minutes prior to curtain time, at which time any unclaimed comp seats may be released and resold in the event of a sold-out performance.
If a performance is sold out, guests may request to be placed on the waitlist by calling the box office at 802-867-2223 ext. 2 and providing the following information:
First & Last Name
Performance Requested (Date and Time)
Number of Tickets Requested
If tickets become available, patrons on the waitlist will be notified via phone on a first-come, first-served basis.
If a performance is sold out, guests may request to be placed on the standby list at the door up to 30 minutes prior to curtain. If seats are available, standby guests will be notified approximately 5 minutes prior to curtain and will be allowed to request tickets on a first-come, first-served basis, provided that all guests in their party are present.
Guests arriving late will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. To limit audience distraction, late arrivals may be required to wait in the lobby until an appropriate pause in the performance before they are permitted into the theatre. Late arrivals are not guaranteed their ticketed seat assignments. Arriving at least 15 minutes early to a performance is highly recommended.

Exchange Policy/Unable to Attend:
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. In the event that you are unable to attend a performance for which you have previously reserved tickets, please contact the box office at your earliest convenience. All exchanges must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the performance and may be subject to exchange fees.
For single tickets/subscriptions: tickets may be exchanged for a different performance within the run of the production by calling the box office at (802) 867-2223 ext. 2
For flex-passes: exchanges may be made between performances or productions by calling the box office at (802) 867-2223 ext. 2
Single Tickets: $2.50 exchange fee per order
Subscriptions: no fee if processed 48 hours prior to the originally scheduled performance; $2.50 exchange fee if exchange is requested within 48 hours of the originally scheduled performance
Flex Passes: no fees at any time
