John C. Pitcher, an artist/naturalist, was born in Portage, Michigan and lived in
Alaska and western Washington, before moving to Dorset, where he currently
owns Gallery on the Marsh with his wife, artist Sue Westin. He expresses his
passion for the natural world through beautifully detailed paintings which he
derives by keeping nature journals, field sketchbooks, taking reference photos
and painting on location. Mr. Pitcher has paintings in the public collections of The
Anchorage Museum of History and Art, University of Alaska Museum, The
Bennington Center for the Arts, The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum and the
Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum. He is a member of the Society of Animal Artists.

Liza Myers’ more than 30-year career has spanned from Paraguay, to the
American Southwest, to New England. She has recently exhibited in galleries
including Co/So, Newbury St. Boston; Cambridge Art Association, Cambridge;
and Liza Myers Gallery and Brandon Artists Guild, both in Brandon, VT. Her 2008
schedule includes a residency at Centre de Arte i Natura, Farrera, Calalonia,
Spain, which is being funded by a grant from the Vermont Arts Council. Ms.
Myers also teaches at Castleton College, where she is an adjunct professor of
painting and drawing.

Patti Campbell received her MFA from Jersey City University in 2000 and has also studied in France. Her work is currently on display in permanent collections in Vermont, New Jersey, Florida, and France, as well as in several revolving collections. Ms. Campbell also has a long history of teaching Art and French.

Mark Tougias has been drawing and painting since childhood. In 1979 he
graduated from the University of Massachusetts where he studied Education and
Art History. His work focuses on the landscape and much of his inspiration
comes from his immediate environs in Vermont and New York, plus his travels in
Europe. Mr. Tougias has exhibited widely in galleries, group shows, and one man
exhibits, winning numerous awards. He is a member of Gloucester’s North Shore
Arts Association, Southern Vermont Art Center, and a former member of Boston’s
Copley Society. His work has been collected in the U.S., Canada, and numerous
European countries.
